Exellent Programmers and Coders

Friday, April 17th, 2009

Rentacoder.com is one of my favourite web sites to hire programmers.   There is so much to learn in hiring the right coder quickly and for fair market value.   Over the years I’ve hired some really great coders, and some not so great coders, as well as everything in between.  Here are some of the traits I look for:

  • Doesn’t give up – or doesn’t accept the money – this is integrity
  • If there is a delay – there is no delay on communication about the delay
  • Thanks me - as soon as possible after their bid is accepted
  • Courage that anything is possible – programming makes it possible

D.E.C. Internet Marketing Inc. is always in the market for the right programmer or programming team.  Great thing about capitalism is a word called competition.  One coder against another competing to offer better quality.  That is why capitalism worked in America while the Soviet Union fell apart at the seams.

Actions are louder than words when I like to reward the right coder with bigger projects.   I wise lady once told me-
“Fool me once, shame on you;  Fool me twice, shame on me”.
